In the realm of hiring, there’s a prevailing notion that skills can always be taught, but there are things that the top ten percent do differently from the other ninety percent. Sadly, we often overlook these crucial attributes during interviews, failing to recognize their significance. In this episode, I share my interviewing experience with Heather Hansen O’Neill. We discuss how I have come to realize the importance of probing candidates’ self-awareness as well as the realization that true success isn’t confined to the hours of a 9-to-5 job; rather, it’s cultivated outside of traditional working hours, through dedication and effort.
